While visiting the Millennium Park at downtown Chicago and admiring the Bean (the Cloud Gate) sculpture by a British artist Anish Kapoor, I realized what makes it even more beautiful – an opportunity for the visitors to engage with it at a very personal level – to touch it, to look at your own image, to explore it from different angles. The interactivity brings the sculpture to a very different level. We hope that you will be able to interact with the resources we have uploaded on our web site in an active way as well. We have started uploading both PPT and pdf versions of very file to make sure you can manipulate them and change them! For the last eight months we have been working on new mathematics and biology questions for our multiple-choice question database. Please check our resources as we have more than 1400 questions with complete solutions for you! We also hope you will share with us your ideas for new questions or what you would like to see here. Please visit the CONTRIBUTE part of our web site and let us know what you think! Happy spring to you!

At UBC the coming of the spring is always associated with the spring conference for BC teachers, teacher-educators, and teacher-candidates. This year, on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 UBC Faculty of Education will host 18th UBC Investigating our Practices Conference. Our team will be presenting four papers related to our work on the Mathematics and Science Teaching and Learning through Technology Project. We will discuss our progress, as well as focus on new technologies we have been exploring lately, such as GeoGebra and PeerWise. We will post our presentations here soon. Conference schedule can be found here.

Dear Science and Mathematics educators: on behalf of all of us working on this resource we would like to wish you a happy and productive year of 2015. UNESCO recently announced 2015 to be the International Year of Light and Light-Based Technologies. This is very exciting as this is another resource that can help teachers inspire the next generation of scientists. We are hoping that more than 1000 conceptual mathematics and science questions we have uploaded on our resource will also help you inspire your students in study science and mathematics. We continue to work on the resource and to address the requests of some of our users we are adding PDF ad well as PPT files, such as people using different platforms can see the problems and all the solutions. We hope that our resource will be useful to you and we are looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great year of 2015!
